What to do before we pick up your rug (almost nothing)

What we do

Two technicians for room‑size rugs, one for small pieces. We move the furniture, roll the rug pile‑out on a tube, wrap it, carry it out, and put the furniture back on delivery. That is part of the free pickup in every town in Nassau and Suffolk.

What helps

• Tell us what is on the rug. Pet accidents, spills, water, moths, a fringe that is going. It sets the inspection up and gets the right crew.
• Note the pad. If it is crumbling or has been through a urine episode, say so; we can bring a new one on delivery.
• Clear the path if a big rug has to come down a narrow stair; we will plan the route through the house with you.
• Multiple rugs? Tell us all of them; a whole‑house pickup is one visit, priced together.

What not to do

1. Do not fold the rug. Folding cracks foundations; a Bidjar can be ruined by one fold. If you roll it yourself, roll pile‑out around anything round.
2. Do not pre‑treat stains. A store spot cleaner the night before can set what we would otherwise remove. Blot and leave it; see the first five minutes.

After pickup

At the plant the rug is measured, identified and dye‑tested, and you get the firm price by phone before any work starts. Seven to ten days later it comes home on the route (longer from the East End), is unrolled onto the new pad if you ordered one, and the furniture goes back. Payment on delivery.
