Per square foot, by rug type, firm before we start
Green Choice Oriental Rug Cleaning Long Island charges $4 to $6 per square foot for the full plant process, depending on the rug, with pickup and delivery in Nassau and Suffolk included. That is not the cheapest number on Long Island, and it is not meant to be: it pays for dusting, immersion washing, a clear rinse, flat drying and people who do nothing but rugs. Every rug is priced at inspection, before work begins, and the price does not change.

Every additional service is quoted separately at inspection and approved separately by you. If a repair costs more than the rug is worth, we say so.
A truck‑mount carpet cleaner will "do the rug too" for a dollar or two a foot on your floor. It cleans the top of the pile, leaves the soil in the foundation, leaves the rug damp for days, and skips the dye test. Some of the most expensive rugs we repair were cleaned that way. The plant price is the price of doing it correctly once.
Drop‑offs welcome any day; call ahead and you can watch the dye test.
Length times width in feet, including the fringe, rounded to the nearest half foot, at the plant. An 8×10 is 80 square feet.
Small pieces and mats are priced by the square foot like any rug; there is no separate minimum, but very small pieces are usually quoted by the piece.
On delivery, after you have seen the rug. Cards, checks and cash accepted.
An estimate, yes, from the size and type. The firm price is set at inspection, because condition and soil load are only visible at the plant, and it does not change after that.
Not in Nassau or Suffolk. Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan carry a small fee.
